The Beverly Hilton Hotel has been scheduled to host the 74th Annual Golden Globes ceremony on Sunday with the event's complete nominations list released.
“The Globes is known as one of the most fun parties of the year. There are only about 1,200 seats, and they're hard to get. So that 'insider' status is tantalizing,” Tim Gray, awards editor for US weekly Variety said.
Jack Mirkinson, an editor at US pop culture website Fusion, admired the upcoming ceremony and wrote “The Globes are always a slightly chintzier affair when compared to the Oscars or the Emmys”.
Starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, Damien Chazelle's musical ‘La La Land’ tops the pack of films competing for honors at this edition of the event.
The musical, winning seven nominations running ahead of ‘20th Century Women’, ‘Deadpool’, ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’ and ‘Sing Street’.
The foreign language category has nominated three French films, one from Germany, and one from Iran. The Iranian, ‘The Salesman’, is the latest movie by award-winning Iranian director Asghar Farhadi.
Jimmy Fallon, the American comedian, television host, actor, singer, writer, and producer, will be the host of the Golden Globes for the first time on Sunday.
